From the Council of Knights

As you all know, our work is cut out for us. We see the problems very clearly, and know that the answers can only be found in people, in ourselves. It is time we need to move forward.
To do this more readily, we are looking to forge Knights from among our fellowship. This section of the web site will be dedicated to that end.
We look upon each and every Companion as a Knight-in-training, and judge you accordingly. Thus far, we are very pleased with the caliber of people who have joined our ranks—and thankful as well. Our work is made easier because each of you came with chivalry in your heart already.
Since we are still in the early stages of development, we are trying to put together requirements for Knighthood that will be strict enough to assure the future quality of our efforts. These requirements will be based on a deep commitment to and understanding of chivalry, personal development, advocacy and good works.
We need your help in this. We need your honesty in helping us get to know you as real people. We need you to protect the meaning of Knighthood by approaching this endeavor with seriousness and patience.
We are providing a new set of articles (see listing at right) focusing on the development of Knights. The articles will be added as they are written, so please check frequently.

Upon this day the Council of Knights, along with its Inner Council, is formally established.
There are two Knights on the Council. Sirs Steven Forgette and Dean Jacques, the founders of this Companionship.

Chivalry-Now has made great strides since we first added our hit counter in late August, 2006. What began as a small web site has expanded to over 30 articles and a growing core of secret teachings. The addition of an open forum on January 29 has added a whole new dimension to our cause, allowing members to communicate with one another in a new dynamic way.
A true Companionship is forming as members get to know one another, and appreciate each other's vision. I find it amazing how comfortable communications are, and inspiring as well.
Even now, I stand in awe at the well-stream we are tapping. I truly believe that chivalry in some form is innate in all men, a vital part of who we are that our culture has neglected for too long.
It is our mission to call it back into the forefront of our lives, first by discovering it in deepest recesses of our hearts, and then by bringing it forth in our daily lives.
The world we live in today, a world shaped by consumerism and celebrity-worship, remains a scourge to the principles of chivalry, crushing our principles by declaring profit as our king. The discontent we feel as men is palpable. We feel alienated as the world refuses to recognize what is real and turns instead to the cheap rewards of illusion.
But now we have an oasis to turn to, a place where our inner core is recognized, welcomed and nourished by a brotherhood where the ideals of chivalry can flourish. Distant as we are from one another, this is our home, our family, our connection with what is real.
I want to personally thank you all for contributing to this oasis, and making it real. Where all this will lead is impossible to say. Nevertheless, what we have, the camaraderie we share, is something that was missing before. Now it is real.
